The Ouras Coast is mostly made up of resettled (or native) Reachmen who accepted the Keep's rule. Taxes and laws are lighter. They have also had an adventuring guild established. Most of these nice-ities are to spite the Reach. Another difference is the distinct lack of mercenary groups, only farming and fishing as a means of income.
Another difference is the landscape. There farmlands are similar to the hills and valleys of Beimoor. The fishlands are rocky shoals and sandy beaches where the Coastmen have built floating cities and cities on platforms.
Trade: The Coastmen boast a thriving trade of fish and agriculture. The Coastmen often will venture into Burdul in attempts to mine the metals for the crown and extra coin. The primary reason the Coast is better off than the Reach is the tax breaks and subsidies afforded by the Crown to spite the Reach.
Military: The coast is expected to have men fight for the crown and some are drafted from their ranks. Their men are valued for being very similar to Reachmen in ingenuity and tenacity, though less experienced in general.
Culture: Some folks still ascribe to the superstition of the Reach, but other have adapted and adopted the gods of their rulers. Other than the obvious fact of not having mercenary life dominate their culture, the Coastmen have more stable home lives and less focus and problems with vice.
